I really like your paintings – even though I can see they are carefully planned and executed, they manage to retain freshness and the flat colours give them a striking contemporary look. I can really see the influence of your background in graphic design and illustration!

I lose count of exactly how long each picture takes; I think this must have been more than 30 hours in total. It’s a continual balance between keeping the structure dominant whilst working on the precise details within it.
I’m glad you think they manage to retain freshness though.
I’m hoping to do some much quicker things when I’m away on holiday. Your drawings are quite inspiring, maybe you wouldn’t mind if I put you on my blogroll?
